Mothers`Day

Mothers are the sweetest gift from Gods to us. There is no way we can ever really thank our mother for all she does for us nevertheless we must make it a habit to keep reminding ourselves of the various sacrifices she made while raising us. Mothers' Day is the best time to say in words how much you love and care for your mum.

Make your Mother's Day bright by sending her your warmest and heartfelt messages. Come on...Don't shy. Think of some beautiful words, for we all  owe our Mothers a Big Thank You Message!!

Happy Easter, Everyone!

       Easter greeting cards (cartões) can be expensive if you have to buy a lot of them. It is much more cost effective to make your own cards.
        Here are some ideas to help you out:
Write from the Heart
What does this person mean to you? Write a sentence telling them why they are special to you:
"You are the best friend I could have asked for. Wishing you the very best on this special holiday."
"Thank you for always being here. It means a lot to me. I hope you have a wonderful Easter day filled with joy and love."
What does Easter mean to you?
Write about what Easter is to you. "Easter fills us with joy, hope, and warmth." Or "Easter is a time for hope and renewal of the spirit."
Bible Verses
Use bible verses to express an Easter greeting.  For example:
John 11:25-26 "Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die.'"

  Or Do you prefer to send the Easter message by email?

Estrangeirismo em Nossa Cidade

     Você sabia que o termo "estrangeirismo" significa palavra ou expressão de outras línguas, empregada na língua portuguesa.

Estrangeirismo em estabelecimento Comercial em Patos de Minas.

      Para muitos , é inevitável essa invasão de palavras inglesas na nossa vida. Atualmente podemos observar o uso cada vez mais frequente desses estrangeirismos, como fatores decorrentes da globalização e do grande avanço dos recursos tecnológicos.

      No campo da Informática, é perfeitamente possível, a tradução dos termos para o português. Mas qual é  a vantagem dessa tradução , se a maioria dos softwares são em língua inglesa? Essa é uma indagação frequente entre aqueles aceitão o estrangeirismo.

      Há quem critique  o excesso de expressões em inglês em nosso dia a dia , especialmente nos grandes centros urbanos.

       O slide abaixo faz uma crítica a esse estrangeirismo, através de uma música, cantada com um sotaque nordestino e sua  grafia está em desacordo com as normas da língua .
